2016年美國研究生商科之信息系統(tǒng)專業(yè)，美國管理信息系統(tǒng)專業(yè)申請過程中涉及到三個(gè)問題：MIS的研究方向，考GMAT還是GRE，課程設(shè)置上有很大區(qū)別嗎?這三個(gè)問題對學(xué)生的定位、擇校起到很大的作用。
一、研究方向
MIS專業(yè)主要有三個(gè)方向：圖書管理、理工學(xué)院下面信息決策(偏重?cái)?shù)學(xué))、商學(xué)院(分為管理類和 MBA類，MBA要求要有工作經(jīng)驗(yàn))。就美國目前的 MIS 教育狀況而言，MIS主要涉及以下一些專業(yè)領(lǐng)域：
信息系統(tǒng)(Information Systems )：包括 Data Communication、Database、Programming Language、Client/Server Computing、System Analysis and Design等內(nèi)容。
管理科學(xué)(Management Sciences )：包括 Mathematical Programming、Optimization、Operation Research等內(nèi)容。
生產(chǎn)運(yùn)營管理(Production and Operations Management )：包括 Decision Theory、Organization Theory等內(nèi)容。
統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)(Statistics )
其它專業(yè)領(lǐng)域：包括 Marketing、Finance、Management、Accounting、Business Law、Economics 等。
二、GMAT還是GRE?
MIS的申請者幾乎都會問這個(gè)問題：“我到底是考GMAT還是GRE啊?”如果你有信心、有精力、有能力兩項(xiàng)都考并取得可用成績的話，建議你兩項(xiàng)都考。原因很簡單，既有GMAT也有GRE的.可用成績的話，我們在學(xué)校的選擇上可以做到通殺。但只有很少一部分申請者可以達(dá)到這樣的要求。
那么對于無法兼顧兩項(xiàng)考試的申請者來說，選擇就顯得比較重要了。GMAT or GRE我們選哪個(gè)?首先你要明白你自己的目標(biāo)到底是什么，自己有什么樣的條件。你不妨用SWOT分析法來全面剖析一下自己。第二、在全面分析自己之后，你會很清楚自己到底要往哪個(gè)方向發(fā)展，研究還是管理?一旦明白這一點(diǎn)之后，就不會再為考什么考試而煩惱。因?yàn)�，不管哪個(gè)學(xué)校，只要是商學(xué)院下開設(shè)了這個(gè)專業(yè) 的都接受GMAT，而在非商學(xué)院如信息學(xué)院、理工學(xué)院下開設(shè)的則都接受GRE。當(dāng)然也有部分學(xué)校是兩者都接受。
三、課程設(shè)置上區(qū)別大嗎?
這里拿兩所有代表性學(xué)校的課程設(shè)置做一下對比：
