　　Arden: Have the Human Resources Department given you your employment contract yet?

　　阿頓：人力資源部已經(jīng)給你們就業(yè)協(xié)議了吧?

　　Fred: Yeah, we got it yesterday.

　　佛瑞德：是的.我們是昨天領(lǐng)到的。

　　Arden: Let's go straight to the contract. Please have a look at the contract clauses.

　　阿頓：我們開門見山談合同的事情吧。請你們看一下條款吧!

　　David: I have one question, sir. Who is the best one to ask for advice?

　　大衛(wèi)：先生，我有個(gè)問題，您能告訴我，我該向誰咨詢合適呢?

　　Arden: You can ask me if you have some.

　　阿頓：如果你有問題的`話，就問我好了。

　　Fred: OK. Sir, what is the medical plan for new employees?

　　佛瑞德：好的。先生，公司對于新員工來說醫(yī)療保險(xiǎn)是怎么規(guī)定的呢?

　　Arden: You will be covered by our medical care once on duty.

　　阿頓：你們上崗后就可以享受醫(yī)療保險(xiǎn)的。

　　David: Manager, may I ask why the probation period is one year? It's too long for us.

　　大衛(wèi)：先生，我可以問問試用期為什么是一年嗎?對我們來說，時(shí)間有點(diǎn)長。

　　Arden: Well, we would like to see how successful you are in your position before committing ourselves to a longer-term agreement.

　　阿頓：哦，在簽訂長期協(xié)議之前，我們要有個(gè)試用期，看看你們的能力。

　　Fred: OK. We have finished reading the contract. We've agreed on all the major points.

　　佛瑞德：好的。我們已經(jīng)看完了合同。對于主要條款我們都同意。

　　Arden: Very good. We have signed the employment contract. Welcome to Future Clothes Company.

　　阿頓：好了，我們已經(jīng)簽了勞動合同。歡迎你們加人Future服裝公司。

　　Fred: It's our honor to be here.

　　佛瑞德：這是我們的榮幸。

　　Arden: I hope you two will work hard and be the excellent workers in our company.

　　阿頓：我希望你們努力工作，成為我們公司優(yōu)秀的員工。

　　David & Fred: Yes, we will make effort.

　　Nova: To start with, may I ask why you chose to work at our company?

　　諾娃：首先請問你為什么要選擇到我們公司工作?

　　Janice: First, you have had an impressive growth record, ever since the company had been founded for half a century. Second, I can improve myself by working here.

　　賈尼斯：第一，貴公司自創(chuàng)辦半個(gè)世紀(jì)以來，就有很好的成長業(yè)績;第二，我想要從工作中得到自我提高。

　　Nova: Well, please look at the employment contract. I'd like to go over the main details again before signing. First, you will be getting a monthly salary, and no probation is involved.

　　諾娃：好，請看以下勞動合同。我想在我們簽約之前把主要條款再談一下。首先，你的工資是月付的，而且沒有試用期。

　　Janice: Yes, I get it. Will the medical plan cover me while on duty?

　　賈尼斯：這我明白。我上班后可以享受醫(yī)療保險(xiǎn)嗎?

　　Nova: Of course. A reasonable number of sick days will be covered by the company. Any extended illness will be covered by insurance. Have you read the other terms of the contract?

　　諾娃：當(dāng)然。病假時(shí)間里公司照常支付工資。超出一定時(shí)間范圍將由保險(xiǎn)公司負(fù)責(zé)支付。合同上的其他條款，你看了嗎?

　　Janice: Yes, I have read. In the contract, I am expected to be available up to two hours past normal working hours. Is that right?

　　賈尼斯：是的，我看到了。合同里寫道，我要比正常工作時(shí)間多工作兩個(gè)小時(shí)，是這樣嗎?

　　Nova: Yes, any approved overtime of more than two hours will be paid twice of the salary or take time-off.

　　Janice: That's exactly my understanding.

　　賈尼斯：那正和我所想的一樣。

　　Nova: Good. Now, if you sign here, you can start work the beginning of next month.
